General description
Titanium(IV) butoxide, also known as titanium tetra butoxide or tetrabutyl titanate. It appears as a colorless to light yellow viscous liquid and is typically sensitive to moisture and air. It is widely used as a precursor in the production of titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films through sol-gel processes. It plays a key role in the development of ceramic coatings and nanostructured materials.
