General description

Rosenow 通过将脑组织添加到葡萄糖琼脂中设计了原始培养基。这些培养基营养丰富步步高并且缓冲良好，可支持多种微生物的生长，例如链球菌、肺炎球菌、脑膜炎球菌等。加入腹水可以培养淋球菌。由于添加了10%脱纤维羊血，它可用于分离培养荚膜组织胞浆菌和其它病原真菌。该培养基用于选择性分离难养真菌（尤其是荚膜组织胞浆菌和芽生菌），通过添加以下推荐的成分混合物，几乎可以完全抑制伴生细菌和腐生酵母菌和霉菌的生长：每升 12 毫克青霉素和 40 微克链霉素； 每升 50 毫克氯霉素和 500 毫克放线菌酮； 每升 50 毫克庆大霉素和/或 50 毫克氯霉素。
当添加血液时，由于其葡萄糖含量，该培养基不太适合鉴定溶血形式。在处理荚膜组织胞浆菌时应格外小心，以避免其感染性孢子的传播。培养物应在封闭的过滤空气柜中检查。

Preparation Note

取52 g溶于1L蒸馏水中。加热煮沸至完全溶解培养基。分装到试管或瓶中，并在121°C下高压蒸汽灭菌15分钟。
