General description
BAX（BCL2（B细胞淋巴瘤2）相关的X，凋亡调节子）基因可定位于人类染色体19q13.33上。它编码α-螺旋球状蛋白。该蛋白质在疏水螺旋周围包含八个两亲性螺旋。已知Bax主要位于细胞质中。
抗-BAX抗体可检测内源性总BAX蛋白水平。
