Cellular retinoic acid binding protein 2 (CRABP2) is an intracellular lipid-binding protein, involved in the stimulation of receptor transcriptional activity. It has been reported that CRABP-II contains three potential sUMOylation sites centered at K45, K87, and K102.

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CRABP2.

This interaction finally helps to accelerate the transcriptional activity. It may have impact in the immature phenotype in glioma cells.
