Gene Information
human ... IFT88(8100)
Biochem/physiol Actions
Intraflagellar transport 88 (IFT88) is involved in cilia formation. It is linked to polycystic kidney disease. In mitosis, the protein has a crucial role in spindle orientation. IFT88 is downregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma.
