Application
Anti-APBA1/MINT1 antibody produced in goat is suitable for indirect ELISA and western blot analysis.
Biochem/physiol Actions
APBA1 (Amyloid β (A4) precursor protein binding, family A, member 1) stabilizes amyloid precursor protein (APP) by directly interacting with it. It also restricts production as well as accumulation of proteolytic APP fragment in the brain of Alzheimer′s disease patients. It also suppresses glycogen synthase kinase-3β promoter activity by coupling with a silencer binding protein.

General description
APBA1 (Amyloid β (A4) precursor protein binding, family A, member 1) is a neuronal adaptor protein belonging to the X11 family. It consists of a centrally located phosphotyrosine binding domain which inhibits the production of Aβ peptide, two C-terminal postsynaptic density-95, large discs, zona occludens 1 (PDZ) domains.
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence C-EASHPSQDGKRQYK from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_001154.2.
Physical form
Supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in Tris saline with 0.02% sodium azide and 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
