聚半乳糖醛酸由半乳糖醛酸单元组成，有一种很长的聚合物链。聚半乳糖醛酸的甲酯形成果胶质。
应用
聚半乳糖醛酸可螯合金属离子。 它还可在Ca2+存在下产生凝胶，从而用于药物释放或在生物分子生产中固定细胞或酶。

- 2F4 初级抗体溶液的预吸附
- 作为测定聚半乳糖醛酸酶活性的底物

生化/生理作用
