Krebs-Henseleit改良缓冲液是一种平衡盐溶液（BSS），用于细胞培养，可以为细胞提供正常细胞代谢所需的水和无机盐。此外，它提供了一个缓冲系统，以维持介质的最佳pH值，并作为灌溉、运输和稀释剂，以维持细胞内和细胞外的渗透平衡。BSS提供葡萄糖作为细胞代谢的能量来源。
应用
Krebs-Henseleit改良缓冲液已用于：
- 采集大鼠脑组织进行离体脑切片实验
- 测定大鼠肺动脉内皮细胞（PAEC）内钙和钠的含量
- 采集马的子宫和前肢血管样本

配制成每升培养基中含粉末 9.6 克。
