一般描述

IgM抗体以五聚体的形式存在于血清中，系抗原应答产生
抗人IgM（μ-链特异性）抗体对含有mu链的人IgM具有特异性。采用纯化的人IgA、IgG、IgM、Bence Jones κ蛋白和Bence Jones λ骨髓瘤蛋白进行测试时，此抗体制剂可特异性识别人 IgM。
人血清源IgM可用作ELISA、斑点免疫结合、蛋白质免疫印迹、免疫扩散和免疫电泳等多种免疫测定的参照抗原、标准品、封闭剂或包被蛋白。其他应用包括作为制备免疫原和固相免疫吸附剂的起始材料。
免疫球蛋白M（IgM）抗体出现在感染过程的早期。 IgM抗体负责错配输血中的红细胞凝集。IgM的水平可能随疾病或感染的状况而变化。

特异性
