应用
DL-同型半胱氨酸已被用于诱导Sprague-Dawley大鼠的高同型半胱氨酸血症。它还被用于研究高同型半胱氨酸血症对载脂蛋白E缺陷小鼠动脉粥样硬化的影响。
生化/生理作用
同型半胱氨酸是一种含巯基的氨基酸,由甲硫氨酸合成。它是一种非必需的非蛋白原氨基酸。它是甲基化循环的重要决定因素,在血浆中有四种存在形式。同型半胱氨酸的异常高水平会导致高同型半胱氨酸血症,同时会促进动脉粥样硬化。
血浆同型半胱氨酸水平升高是冠心病和癌变的危险因素;可能是肿瘤细胞生长的标志物。
