生化/生理作用
胱天蛋白酶 12（CASP12）在感染期间具有下调的功能，并且可能在预防炎性疾病中起作用。它与非裔美国人的类风湿性关节炎有关。胱天蛋白酶-12抑制胱天蛋白酶-1的活化，并与细菌性脓毒症的易感因子有关，但不影响对念珠菌性脓毒症的易感性。
