一般描述

甲醛是一种分子生物学试剂，当掺入琼脂糖凝胶时，在电泳过程中使RNA变性。
它是一种脂肪族醛，在工业上广泛用于合成几种化学品，如三聚氰胺甲醛、脲醛、酚甲醛和工业树脂、多聚甲醛、多元醇、螯合剂、缓释肥料、1,4-丁二醇和六亚甲基四胺。

应用

甲醛溶液适用于：
  • RNA分子的变性和分离
  • 抗菌治疗
  • 细胞固定
甲醛溶液已被用于：
  • 人精原干细胞移植(SSCT)的固定。
  • 在染色质免疫沉淀过程中交联T细胞急性淋巴细胞白血病蛋白/DNA复合体。
  • 斑马鱼幼体中性粒细胞染色固定。

原理
