适用性
selective and differential for Candida spp.
一般描述
BiGGY Agar (Nickerson Agar) is used for detection, selective isolation, differentiation and presumptive identification of Candida albicans and Candida tropicalis. This agar is a selective medium used for isolation and presumptive identification of Candida species by their ability to reduce sulphite to sulphide giving a brown to black colour.
应用
BiGGY Agar has been used to evaluate the production of hydrogen sulfide in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
制备说明
Suspend 45 g in 1 litre distilled water. Boil gently to dissolve the medium completely. DO NOT AUTOCLAVE. Overheating will destroy the selective properties. Disperse the flocculant precipitate formed by swirling prior to dispensing into plates.
附注
We offer two media types: the superior granulated GranuCult® and the cost-efficient powdered NutriSelect® culture media, depending on your needs.

Genome sequencing is essential to understand individual variation and to study the mechanisms that explain relations between genotype and phenotype. The accumulated knowledge from large-scale genome sequencing projects of Saccharomyces cerevisiae isolates is being used to study the mechanisms that
