一般描述
Maximum Recovery Diluent is as an isotonic diluent. It combines the protective effect of peptic digest of animal tissue with the osmotic balance of physiological saline. The low concentration of peptic digest of animal tissue helps to maintain the organisms for 1-2 hours without multiplication. The isotonic property ensures the recovery of organisms from diverse specimens. In distilled water or aqueous suspensions, the lethal rate would be higher because of the sub-lethally injured organisms.
应用
本品是用于从各种来源中最大恢复微生物的保护性等渗透压培养基。低浓度蛋白胨不能使样品在稀释后的 1-2 个小时内繁殖生物群。
制备说明
Suspend 9.5 g in 1000 ml of purified water. Heat if necessary to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize at 121°C for 15 minutes.
