General description
p,p′-DDE is the main metabolite of 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2-bis(p-chlorophenyl)ethane (DDT) known to cause abnormalities in male sex development.
Application
p,p′-DDE may be used as a reference standard for the determination of p,p′-DDE in fruits and vegetables by subcritical water extraction coupled with sorptive enrichment and CGC-MS.
