Transfluthrin is a broad spectrum pyrethroid insecticide, ususally classified as a biocide and used in domestic and public hygiene situations to control pests like moths, mosquitoes and flies. It is not listed in the European Union (EU) pesticide database. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
