应用

  • Evaluation of a multi-fiber exchange solid-phase microextraction system and its application to on-site sampling: This study introduces a multi-fiber exchange system for solid-phase microextraction, specifically showcasing the efficiency of the Carboxen/Polydimethylsiloxane (CAR/PDMS) fibers in on-site sampling scenarios. The application emphasizes rapid and adaptable sampling methods that cater to dynamic environmental and laboratory conditions, enhancing both the practicality and scope of SPME′s utility in the field (Gómez-Ríos GA, Reyes-Garcés N, Pawliszyn J, 2015).

  1. Which document(s) contains shelf-life or expiration date information for a given product?

If available for a given product, the recommended re-test date or the expiration date can be found on the Certificate of Analysis.

  2. How do I get lot-specific information or a Certificate of Analysis?

The lot specific COA document can be found by entering the lot number above under the "Documents" section.

  3. What types of compounds would be suitable for extraction using SPME fiber assembly Carboxen/Polydimethylsiloxane(CAR/PDMS), Product 57344-U?

This fiber is best suited for extracting relatively small volatile compounds.  The approximate size range of the compounds is between 2-10 carbons, and should be suitable for most functional groups (i.e., alcohols, acids, mercaptans, etc).

  4. Is SPME fiber assembly Carboxen/Polydimethylsiloxane(CAR/PDMS), Product 57344-U, also available with the new metal core technology?

Yes, this fiber is available with a fused silica, Stableflex, or metal fiber cores.  The metal fiber assemblies are only available in 23 gauge needles, and should be used with a Merlin Microseal on the GC injection port

  5. How do I find price and availability?
