Syntaxin-binding protein 1 (UniProt: P61764; also known as MUNC18-1, N-Sec1, Protein unc-18 homolog 1, Unc18-1, Protein unc-18 homolog A, Unc-18A, p67) is encoded by the STXBP1 (also known as UNC18A) gene (Gene ID: 6812) in human. STXBP1 is an essential component of the presynaptic neurotransmitter release machinery and is detected in the brain and spinal cord and is enriched in axons. It binds syntaxin, a component of the synaptic vesicle fusion machinery probably in a 1:1 ratio. It is reported to interact with syntaxins 1, 2, and , but not syntaxin 4. It is involved in presynaptic dense core vesicle exocytosis and synaptic vesicle priming. It participates in the regulation of synaptic vesicle docking and fusion through interaction with GTP-binding proteins. It is involved in the release of neurotransmitters through interacting with SNARE complex component STX1A and mediates the assembly of the SNARE complex at synaptic membranes. STXBP1 is one of the most frequently mutated genes in sporadic intellectual disabilities and developmental disorders. Mutations in this gene are known to cause developmental and epileptic encephalopathy 4 (DEE4), a severe form of epilepsy characterized by frequent tonic seizures or spasms beginning in infancy. 外形
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
