Clone 1J6 is a ZooMAb^® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Prokineticin receptor 2 (PROKR2). It targets an epitope within 16 amino acids from the first extracellular domain in the N-terminal region.

Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Western Blotting in HeLa cell membrane extract.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected PROKR2 in HeLa cell membrane extract.

Tested Applications

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected PROKR2 in A431 and HeLa cell lysates.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected PROKR2 in THP-1 cells.

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected PROKR2 in Human cerebral cortex tissue sections.

Prokineticin receptor 2 (UniProt: Q8NFJ6; also known as PK-R2, PKR2, G-protein coupled receptor 73-like 1, G-protein coupled receptor I5E, GPR73b, GPRg2) is encoded by the PROKR2 (also known as GPR73L1, PKR2) gene (Gene ID: 128674) in human. Prokineticins bind to two different G protein-coupled receptors known as prokineticin receptor-1 and -2 (PROKR1 and PROKR2) that display about 85% sequence identity. They bind to PROK1 and PROK2 with nanomolar range affinities. PROKR2 is a multi-pass membrane protein with seven transmembrane domains. Its expression is observed in the ileocecum, thyroid gland, pituitary gland, salivary gland, adrenal gland, testis, ovary, and the brain. It is exclusively coupled to the G(q) subclass of heteromeric G proteins. Its activation leads to mobilization of calcium, stimulation of phosphoinositide turnover, and activation of p44/p42 mitogen-activated protein kinase. Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material.
