目标描述
Transcription factor AP-2-alpha (AP2a) (UniProt: P05549; also known as AP2-alpha, AP-2 transcription factor, Activating enhancer-binding protein 2-alpha, Activator protein 2 (AP-2)) is encoded by the TFAP2A (also known as AP2TF, TFAP2) gene (Gene ID: 7020) in human. Transcription factor AP-2-alpha (AP-2 ) is a member of the AP-2 family of transcription factors that consists of five different proteins in humans. It is composed of several functional domains, including a proline/glutamine-rich transactivation domain. The helix-span-helix motif, together with a central basic region, mediates dimerization and DNA binding. AP-2 may act as either a homodimer or heterodimer with paralogs from its family and regulates genes involved in cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation by binding to specific promoter regions and modulating their transcription. AP-2 also plays a pivotal role in the regulation of gene expression during embryonic development. It is involved in the differentiation and development of neural crest cells, the formation of the face, limbs, and the central nervous system. In adults, its expression is more restricted but can be found in certain tissues such as the skin, breast, and parts of the nervous system. The expression of TFAP2A is tightly regulated and varies depending on the developmental stage and tissue type. Mutations and dysregulation of TFAP2A are associated with several developmental disorders and diseases. Mutations in the TFAP2A gene can lead to branchio-oculo-facial syndrome, a rare congenital disorder characterized by craniofacial, ocular, and branchial defects. In cancer, altered expression of TFAP2A has been implicated in the progression and metastasis of various types, including breast cancer, melanoma, and glioblastoma. TFAP2A can act as either a tumor suppressor or an oncogene, depending on the cellular context and the genes it regulates. (Ref.: Eckert, D., et al. (2005). Genome Biol., 6(13), Article 246; Kolat, D., et al, (2019) Biosci. Rep. 39 (3): BSR20181928.) This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
外形
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.
重悬
300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
储存及稳定性
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
