Histone deacetylase 7 (UniProt: Q8WUI4; also known as EC:3.5.1.98, HD7, Histone deacetylase 7A, HD7a) is encoded by the HDAC7 (also known as HDAC7A) gene (Gene ID: 51564) in human. Histone acetylation and deacetylation play a major role in determining chromatin structure and function. These modifications are achieved by histone acetyltransferases (HATs) and histone deacetylases (HDACs). In the deacetylated state, specific basic amino acids in histones are positively charged and interact with DNA s negatively charged phosphate groups and with negatively charged patches on neighboring nucleosomes. This promotes chromatin condensation to form heterochromatin. On the other hand, acetylation neutralizes these positive charges and promoting the less condensed and more accessible chromatin conformation known as euchromatin. HDAC7 is responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). It shuttles between the nucleus and the cytoplasm and in the nucleus, it associates with distinct subnuclear dot-like structures. Its nuclear export signal is localized in amino acids 918-952. Its deacetylase activity maps to a C-terminal domain and is dependent on its interaction with other class I HDACs in the nucleus. HDAC7 can undergo phosphorylation by PKN1 and PKN2 that impairs its nuclear import. Its phosphorylation on serine 155 by MARK2, MARK3, and PRKD1 is shown to promote its interaction with 14-3-3 proteins and facilitate its export from the nucleus. Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
