General description
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase ZNF598 (UniProt: Q86UK7; also known as EC:2.3.2.27, Zinc finger protein 598) is encoded by the ZNF598 gene (Gene ID: 90850) in human. ZNF598 is a E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that plays a key role in the ribosome quality control (RQC), a pathway that takes place when a ribosome has stalled during translation. It is required for ribosomes to terminally stall during translation of poly(A) sequences by mediating monoubiquitination of 40S ribosomal protein RPS10/eS10, RPS20/uS10 and RPS3/uS3. It also acts as a component of the 4EHP-GYF2 complex, a multiprotein complex that acts as a repressor of translation initiation. ZNF598 has one RING type (aa 29-69) and a C2H2 type (aa 187-210) zinc finger domain. Preparation Note
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.
