Clone 1B6 is a ZooMAb^® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects High affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit gamma (FceRI g ). It targets an epitope within 19 amino acids from the C-terminal, cytoplasmic domain.

High affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit gamma (UniProt: P30273; also known as Fc receptor gamma-chain, FcRgamma, Fc-epsilon RI-gamma, IgE Fc receptor subunit gamma, FceRI gamma) is encoded by the FCER1G gene (Gene ID: 2207) in human. FceRI g is a single-pass type I membrane protein that is synthesized with a signal peptide (aa 1-18), which is subsequently cleaved off to generate the mature form that contains a short extracellular domain (aa 19-23), a transmembrane domain (aa 24-44), and a cytoplasmic domain (aa 45-86). FceRI g serves as an adapter protein that contains an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) that transduces activation signals from various immunoreceptors. The g-subunit has a critical role in allowing the IgE Fc receptor to reach the cell surface. It associates with a variety of FcR alpha chains to form a functional signaling complex that regulates several aspects of the immune response. As a component of the high-affinity immunoglobulin E (IgE) receptor, it is shown to mediate allergic inflammatory signaling in mast cells and as a constitutive component of interleukin-3 receptor complex, it selectively mediates interleukin 4/IL4 production by basophils and primes T-cells toward effector T-helper 2 subset.
