应用
来自牛奶的黄嘌呤氧化酶已被用作生成超氧化物的来源。它也已用作内部校准电化学连续酶测定(internally calibrated electrochemical continuous enzyme assay,ICECEA)中的模型酶。
生化/生理作用
异黄酮染料木素在0.1-4.0 μM的浓度范围内显示出对黄嘌呤氧化酶的抑制,高于5 μM的浓度则会激活黄嘌呤氧化酶。
木糖氧化酶是一种含钼酶,存在于细胞质中,能够被黄酮类化合物有效抑制。它在一些药物和嘌呤嘧啶代谢中有重要作用。它被认为是活性氧簇的生物来源。
黄嘌呤氧化酶可用作氧化应激的潜在生物标记。它还涉及组织和血管损伤,例如肝损伤、炎症性疾病和慢性心力衰竭。
单位定义
在pH7.5,25℃条件下,一个单位可每分钟将1.0 μmole黄嘌呤转化为尿酸。以次黄嘌呤为底物可获得约50%的活性。
