Biochem/physiol Actions

在免疫组织化学染色中，抗体将波形蛋白定位于成纤维细胞、内皮细胞、淋巴组织和黑色素细胞中。它也在肉瘤、淋巴瘤和黑色素瘤中染色波形蛋白。
波形蛋白在维持细胞结构完整性方面发挥着至关重要的作用。在前列腺癌、乳腺癌、子宫内膜癌、中枢神经系统（CNS）肿瘤、恶性黑色素瘤和胃肠道肿瘤（包括胰腺癌、结直肠癌和肝癌）细胞中，均观察到波形蛋白表达上调。因此，波形蛋白可以作为开发癌症疗法的靶标。在血管内皮生长因子受体 1 (VEGFR-1) 诱导的蛋白激酶 G (PKG) 1 信号传导通路激活（刺激心肌细胞肥大消退）中，波形蛋白发挥着至关重要的作用。波形蛋白丝参与多种生理过程，包括迁移、细胞形状维持和间充质细胞的机械应力耐受。波形蛋白与 LARP6（La 核糖核蛋白域家族成员 6）相互作用并稳定 I 型胶原 mRNA，可能在组织纤维化的发展中发挥重要作用。波形蛋白在维持晶状体完整性中起着至关重要的作用，因此，波形蛋白基因突变会导致显性白内障和粉状白内障。

General description

单克隆抗波形蛋白（小鼠 IgG1 亚型）抗体来自于小鼠骨髓瘤细胞和来自猪晶状体的纯化波形蛋白免疫的小鼠脾细胞相互融合而产生的V9杂交瘤细胞。
波形蛋白由人类染色体10p13上的单拷贝基因编码。53kDa的波形蛋白属于III类中间纤维(IF)蛋白质家族，由正常间质细胞表达。波形蛋白由466个氨基酸残基组成，特有高度保守的α-螺旋杆状区，两端为非α-螺旋的头部氨基酸端和尾部羧基端。
