生化/生理作用

尿酸参与嘌呤分解代谢。它催化高度不溶性尿酸转化为 5-羟基异尿酸盐。尿酸的积累会导致肝脏/肾脏损伤或慢性引起痛风。在小鼠中,编码尿酸酶的基因突变会导致尿酸突然升高。缺乏该基因的小鼠会出现高尿酸血症、高尿酸症和尿酸结晶性梗阻性肾病。
