一般描述
凝血酶是钠激活的II型酶。它包含两个阴离子结合的外源性位点，ABE-I和ABE-II。体内凝血酶的主要形式是酶原，即凝血酶原（因子II），主要在肝脏中产生。牛a-凝血酶由轻链（A链）和重链（B链）组成。这两条链由一个二硫键连接。凝血酶的B链包括碳水化合物部分。
应用
凝血酶用于重组融合蛋白的位点特异性切割，所述重组融合蛋白包含用于去除亲和标签的可接近凝血酶识别位点。凝血酶已被用于一项评估全球止血和护理点测试的研究。
牛血浆凝血酶用于研究其对围产期大鼠脑室下区细胞和少突胶质细胞前体细胞增殖、分化和迁移的影响。它也被用于纤维蛋白降解检测，以测量纳豆激酶活性。
生化/生理作用
丝氨酸蛋白酶，选择性断开纤维蛋白原中的精氨酸-甘氨酸键，形成纤维蛋白以及纤维蛋白肽 A 和 B。
凝血酶是一种在血液凝固过程中起关键作用的蛋白水解酶，可激活凝血因子V、VIII、XI和XII。凝血酶可促进血小板聚集。因此，凝血酶是止血过程中的最终凝血蛋白酶，可同时促进促凝血和抗凝血作用。它用于治疗毛细血管和小静脉出血。

基于 Biggs 改性法的 NIH 分析过程使用 0.2mL 稀释血浆（由血浆与等量生理盐水混合制得）作为底物，以及 0.1mL 凝血酶样品（在含 1% 白蛋白缓冲液中保持稳定）。只使用 15-25 秒之间的凝血时间分析凝血酶浓度。
活性是通过与一种K批次的NIH凝血酶参考标准品进行直接比较而得到并以NIH单位进行表达的。
