TOFA是乙酰辅酶A 羧化酶(ACC)的细胞渗透性、有效、可逆和竞争性抑制剂。 TOFA是参与脂肪酸生物合成的关键酶。TOFA以剂量依赖性方式抑制细胞脂肪酸合成(人乳腺癌细胞系 MCF7中IC50 = 4 μM)。
研究报道,在大鼠再喂食实验期间,TOFA可以抑制皮下他莫昔芬(TMX)对食物摄入的厌食作用。
