Biochem/physiol Actions

General description

β-微管蛋白属于微管蛋白亚家族，是微管的主要结构单元。β-微管蛋白的分子量为55kDa。β-微管蛋白的结构特征在于具有β-螺旋包围的两个α-折叠的核心。它还含有一个具有鸟嘌呤核苷酸结合区的N-末端结构域，一个具有紫杉醇结合位点的中间结构域，以及一个含有分子马达蛋白结合表面的C-末端结构域。人β微管蛋白包括七种亚型（βI（I类）、βI（II类）、βIII（III类）、βIVa（IVa类）、βIVb（IVb类）、βV（V类）和βVI（VI类））。
单克隆抗β-微管蛋白（小鼠IgG1同种型）来自杂交瘤TUB 2.1，该杂交瘤由纯化的大鼠脑微管蛋白免疫小鼠，取其脾细胞与小鼠骨髓瘤细胞融合而成。
