应用

牛磺酸是含硫(巯基)氨基酸半胱氨酸的衍生物。牛磺酸是少数已知的天然磺酸之一。它是有条件必需的磺化氨基酸,可调节某些细胞的凋亡;在许多代谢活动中起作用;蛋氨酸和半胱氨酸的代谢产物。它可用作治疗性重组蛋白和单克隆抗体的商业生物制造的细胞培养基成分。
