Biochem/physiol Actions

General description

γ-微管蛋白定位于人染色体 17q21.2 上，编码微管蛋白家族的成员。它位于微管组织中心。 γ -微管蛋白由两种同工型组成，即微管蛋白 γ 1（TUBG1）和微管蛋白γ 2（TUBG2），两者间氨基酸的一致性为97.3％。除这两种同工型之外，在人17号染色体还鉴定出 γ微管蛋白假基因（TUBG1P）。人TUBG1和TUBG2 转录物分别在植入前胚胎和脑中广泛表达。 γ -微管是 γ-微管环复合物（γ-TuRC）的组分，直径与微管大致相同。
γ-微管蛋白（48 kDa）是一种高度保守的蛋白质。微管细胞骨架由一个包含微管丝（microtubules filament）、微管相关蛋白、微管马达蛋白（microtubule motor）和微管组织蛋白（microtubule-organizing protein）的高度极化的动态网络组成。γ-微管蛋白是一个包含至少五种其他蛋白质的大型蛋白复合物的成分，并具有与微管直径大致相同的环形结构（-微管蛋白环复合物，-TuRC）。
