FICZ 是芳香烃受体 (aryl hydrocarbon receptor,AhR) 的强效高亲和力配体，是一种配体激活的转录因子，可激活 CYP1A1 基因等芳香烃代谢酶基因的表达，也被证明在细胞周期调控、许多组织的发育成熟、控制炎症和免疫反应中具有多种额外的作用。FICZ 是色氨酸的光产物，被认为是内源性 AhR 配体。其效力极强，Kd 值为 0.07 nM。
