一般描述
四氢姜黄素(THC)是姜黄素的无色代谢产物。结构与姜黄素类似。THC的化学结构中不含α, β-不饱和羰基。是来源于莪术(Curcuma zedoaria)、姜笋(Zingiber mioga)和姜(Zingiber officinale)根部的天然产物。
应用
四氢姜黄素(THC)已作为神经保护剂，研究其在缺血性中风小鼠模型中改善线粒体功能障碍的治疗潜力。
生化/生理作用
四氢姜黄素的治癌作用经过充分研究，具有出色的抗癌、抗血管生成和化学预防活性。还具有抗炎性。已发现四氢姜黄素可通过缓解氧化应激发挥针对糖尿病和血管功能障碍的抗氧化和保护作用。
