Exocyst complex component 6 (EXOC6) is located on the human chromosome at 10q23.33.

Exocyst complex component 6 (EXOC6) has been shown to interact with the Rab11 (Ras-related protein), a GTPase that regulates both biosynthetic and endocytic traffic. This interaction results in endocytic trafficking directed toward the apical and basolateral poles of polarized cells.
