Recombinant SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1-S2 Chimeric Protein

This Spike glycoprotein ectodomain (spikes comprised of multiple S1 & S2 domains) of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is expressed in insect cells. Consists of the whole spike antigen. This construct hosts the epitopes for neutralizing antibodies and additional epitopes which can improve sensitivity. It could be important in the case of variant of concern antibody detection, as the characteristic mutations of the different variants of concern are positioned mainly in the Spike protein.
The recombinant SARS-CoV2-Spike S1-S2 Chimeric protein, S9994 is recommended for IgG detection. For IgM detection, a mixture of nucleocapsid and spike proteins is recommended.
