General description

磷脂酰胆碱是一种包含胆碱头部基团（head group）的磷脂，并与细胞器膜和细胞膜相关。

Biochem/physiol Actions

磷脂酰胆碱对于乙酰胆碱的合成必不可少，对于肝细胞中极低密度脂蛋白的分泌至关重要。非酒精性脂肪性肝病（NAFLD）的病理生理学表明，肝脏PC与磷脂酰乙醇胺（PE）的比例存在差异。PC减轻溃疡性结肠炎（UC）的炎症，可有效治疗良性对称性脂肪瘤病。
脑磷脂脑中的主要结构磷脂，包含脂肪总量的约15%；主要局限于灰质。

Application

L-α磷脂酰胆碱已用于磷脂固相酶联免疫吸附测定（ELISA），用于测试其与VIII因子变体（N0和N6）的相互作用。它还已用于合成磷脂酰胆碱氢过氧化物（PCOOH）底物，用于谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶（GPx4）分析。
