一般描述

羟脯氨酸（4-羟基脯氨酸）是一种通过脯氨酸翻译后羟基化而形成的非蛋白原氨基酸。羟脯氨酸是胶原蛋白的主要成分，它在其中可对螺旋结构起到稳定作用。由于羟脯氨酸主要只存在于胶原蛋白，因此羟脯氨酸水平的检测可用作胶原蛋白含量的一种指标。可增加胶原蛋白周转的条件能够提高血清和尿羟脯氨酸的水平。尿和血清羟脯胺酸的水平可能用作骨吸收的一种标志物。

应用

羟脯氨酸检测试剂盒已用于确定羟脯胺酸和胶原蛋白的浓度。

适用性

适合用于细胞和组织培养上清液、尿液、血浆、血清和其他生物样品中羟脯胺酸的检测。

原理

在羟脯氨酸检测试剂盒中，羟脯氨酸的浓度可通过氧化的羟脯氨酸与4-（二甲基氨基）苯甲醛（DMAB）的反应来确定，该反应可产生与存在的羟脯氨酸成比例的比色（560nm）产物。
