一般描述

采用矿物油或液体石油保护各种类型的培养物。矿物油的优点是可降低生长速率,并且几乎完全消除了培养基的水分蒸发。因此,减少了传代培养,培养物活率更高。1914年,矿物油首次用于覆盖细菌培养物。

应用

矿物油已被普遍使用并推荐用于覆盖小鼠胚胎培养物,防止其在培养过程中干燥。
