General description
凝集素（来自罗马蜗牛）是一种六聚体糖蛋白，分子量79 kDa。来源于罗马蜗牛的蛋白腺分泌。罗马蜗牛凝集素(HPA)对N-乙酰半乳糖胺(GalNAc)具有特异性。
Application
凝集素（来自罗马蜗牛）已用于标记生物素和吖啶，用于凝集素凝集试验。
Biochem/physiol Actions
HPA具有抗人A血型特异性，并且对末端N-乙酰基-α-D-半乳糖胺基残基具有亲和力。由亲和纯化的凝集素制备缀合物。
凝集素（来自罗马蜗牛）作为卵周液组分可涂覆受精蛋进行保护。在蜗牛中具有抗菌性和免疫能力。罗马蜗牛凝集素(HPA)可凝集病原体。HPA还可作为癌症O糖基化异常的标志物。

Analysis Note
在报道中，凝集活性以μg/ml表示，用pH 6.8的磷酸盐缓冲液连续稀释1 mg/ml溶液进行测定。 该活性是指25℃孵育1小时后使2％人A型血红细胞混悬液凝集的最低浓度。
