IL32 (interleukin-32) helps in the production of microbicidal molecules. It might also be associated with the phagocytosis of parasites. It can direct the acquired immune response by promoting the differentiation of monocytes into dendritic cells. It plays some major roles in antimicrobial pathways, cancer, and autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis (RA), myasthenia gravis, and giant cell arteritis. IL32 is considered as a therapeutic target to block continuous inflammation and pathologies related to it in the HIV-infected population.
