Anti-CTH antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . CTH (cystathionine γ-lyase) is a pyridoxal phosphate (PLP)-dependent enzyme which participates in the transsulfuration pathway. It is responsible for the generation of endogenous hydrogen sulfide (H2S) via desulfhydration of cysteine. In mouse model, absence of CTH causes hypertension and decreases endothelium-associated vasorelaxation. CTH-mediated H2S production protects against ischemic heart diseases.
