Biochem/physiol Actions
研究提示QKI（quaking）对于人脑中少突细胞的分化和突变至关重要。QKI 剪接的失调与精神分裂症有关。QKI 的小鼠同源物参与神经发育和髓鞘形成。在上皮间质转化过程中，它也控制circRNA的生成。QKI 是可变剪接（alternative splicing）的调节剂。 在肺癌细胞中，它通过调节NUMB（S171蛋白）基因的可变剪接，抑制细胞增殖。

General description
QKI（quaking）基因位于人类染色体6q26上。它属于RNA信号转导和激活（STAR）蛋白家族。QKI 含有一个RNA结合结构域（KH结构域），人脑的额叶皮质中有QKI的不同剪接变体。
