TEMED1 (transmembrane emp24 domain-containing protein-1) belongs to TMED/p24 family of proteins. TEMED1 is widely expressed. The protein is present in endoplasmic reticulum, cis-Golgi network and endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment. The protein exists as a homodimer.

Anti-TMED1 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Transmembrane emp24 domain-containing protein-1 (TEMED1) is important for innate immune signaling. TMED1 interacts with IL (Interleukin)-1 receptor family member ST2L and optimizes IL-33-induced IL-8 and IL-6 production.
