生化/生理作用
The autophosphorylation of p21 (Cdc42/Rac)-activated kinase PAK is crucial for mediating cellular functions. The protein phosphatase Mg2+/Mn2+ dependent 1E (PPM1E) was identified as the binding partner for the PAK interacting guanine nucleotide exchange factor PIX. The dephosphrylation action of PPM1E blocks in vivo effects of active PAK. PPM1E is also a phosphatase for 5′-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). Activation and phosphorylation of AMPK is important for treatment of type-2 diabetes.
