Low affinity cationic amino acid transporter 2 (also known as cationic amino acid transporter 2) is a protein encoded by the SLC7A2 gene in humans. It is an orphan protein that belongs to SLC7 subfamily of cationic amino acid transporters (CATs). Its expression is inducible and is useful for harvesting activated macrophages from their environment.
