一般描述
SCGN（促泌素）是一种新型的EF手，细胞类型特异性，Ca结合蛋白（CBP）。它在神经内分泌细胞中表达。具体而言，已经报道了其在外周和哺乳动物脑中的（肠）-内分泌细胞和神经内分泌细胞中的表达。它参与细胞内Ca2+动力学的调节。它包含一个Ca2+结合域和六个推定的EF手基序。

生化/生理作用
SCGN（促泌素）主要在Ca2+诱导的神经元和神经内分泌细胞的胞吐作用和膜融合中充当钙离子传感器。它可以结合四个Ca2+离子，但仅与一个SCGN相互作用的蛋白相互作用。作为识别神经元损伤的血清标志物。据报道，SCGN可以通过反映细胞对微环境刺激的反应来控制细胞内Ca2+信号传导途径。此外，SCGN的神经保护作用也已在阿尔茨海默氏′病中得到证明。
