生化/生理作用
MAD2L1 (MAD2 mitotic arrest deficient-like 1) gene encodes a component of the spindle-assembly checkpoint that prevents the beginning of anaphase until all chromosomes are properly aligned at the metaphase plate. It associates with Cdc20 and inhibits the activity of the anaphase promoting complex. The protein contains a three-layered α/β fold with three α-helices packed between two β-sheets. A decreased expression of this protein has been observed in a breast cancer cell line with chromosome instability and aneuploidy.
