Anti-ELK3 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for use to locate ELK3 DNA binding sites on a genome wide scale by a chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by deep sequencing (ChIP-seq) experiment.
Anti-ELK3 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. ELK3 (ETS-domain protein) gene encodes a protein belonging to the Ets oncoprotein family. It is localized to human chromosome 12q22–q23. It functions as a transcriptional repressor under basal conditions. It is downregulated in hypoxia and is involved in the regulation of several genes, including c-fos, vascular endothelial growth factor, egr-1 (early growth response protein 1) and HIF-1α (hypoxia-inducible factor 1-α). It forms a ternary complex with Elk-1 and Sap-1 transcription factors and plays a role in early response of quiescent cells to growth factor stimulation. It also functions in angiogenesis.
