应用
All Prestige Antibodies Powered by Atlas Antibodies are developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project and as a result, are supported by the most extensive characterization in the industry.
The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. These images and the collection of this vast data set can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link. We also provide Prestige Antibodies® protocols and other useful information.

生化/生理作用
STX5 (Syntaxin-5) gene encodes a target SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor (NSF) attachment protein receptor) called syntaxin-5. Syntaxins are transmembrane proteins that regulate transport vesicle docking and fusion by association with a vesicle-associated membrane protein called synaptobrevin/VAMP. This protein is involved in vesicular transport from endoplasmic reticulum to golgi and functions in autophagy. Anti-syntaxin-5 autoantibody serves as a serum marker for the diagnosis of endometriosis. It may be involved in the regulation of glycosylation, trafficking and processing characteristics of very low density lipoprotein (VLDL)-receptor (VLDL-R).
特点和优势
Prestige Antibodies® are highly characterized and extensively validated antibodies with the added benefit of all available characterization data for each target being accessible via the Human Protein Atlas portal linked just below the product name at the top of this page. The uniqueness and low cross-reactivity of the Prestige Antibodies® to other proteins are due to a thorough selection of antigen regions, affinity purification, and stringent selection. Prestige antigen controls are available for every corresponding Prestige Antibody and can be found in the linkage section.
Every Prestige Antibody is tested in the following ways:
Every Prestige Antibody is tested in the following ways:
- IHC tissue array of 44 normal human tissues and 20 of the most common cancer type tissues.
- Protein array of 364 human recombinant protein fragments.

We identified syntaxin 5 (Stx5), a protein involved in intracellular vesicle trafficking, as a novel interaction partner of the very low density lipoprotein (VLDL)-receptor (VLDL-R), a member of the LDL-receptor family. In addition, we investigated the effect of Stx5 on

Cancer-derived small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are capable of modifying the tumor microenvironment and promoting tumor progression. Ovarian cancer (OvCa) is a lethal malignancy that preferentially spreads through the abdominal cavity. Thus, the secretion of such vesicles into the peritoneal fluid

Autophagy is a lysosome-dependent cellular catabolic mechanism that mediates the turnover of intracellular organelles and long-lived proteins. Reduced autophagic activity has been shown to lead to the accumulation of misfolded proteins in neurons and might be involved in chronic neurodegenerative
FEBS letters, 579(20), 4226-4234 (2005-08-06)
It has been suggested that syntaxin 5 (Syx5) participates in vesicular transport. We examined the effects of Syx5 down-regulation on the morphology of the Golgi apparatus and the transport of vesicles in mammalian cells. Knockdown of the Syx5 gene resulted
Journal of molecular neuroscience : MN, 8(2), 159-161 (1997-04-01)
Syntaxins are transmembrane proteins that function in regulating transport vesicle docking and fusion with target membranes in neuronal and nonneuronal cells. Vesicle docking is thought to be regulated in part by the specific interactions of syntaxin with a vesicle-associated membrane
