D-β-羟丁酸脱氢酶 (BDH) 是一种与膜结合的脂质需求酶。

应用

β-来源于勒氏假单胞菌 的羟丁酸脱氢酶已被用于偶联检测以证实乙酰乙酸酯的形成。

生化/生理作用

脱氮副球菌中,3-羟丁酸脱氢酶在胞内聚羟基丁酸酯和聚羟基戊酸酯的分解中起关键作用。
在哺乳动物系统中,β-羟丁酸脱氢酶位于线粒体内膜上,需要磷脂酰胆碱才能发挥活性。相反,在假单胞菌属中则为可溶性胞质酶,不需要磷脂别构活化剂。利用作为代谢能量源的酮体时,需要这种酶。其首先催化 3-羟基丁酸酯氧化成乙酰乙酸酯,这是酮体转化为柠檬酸的第一步,而后通过三羧酸循环(Krebs 循环)进一步参与代谢。

在pH 7.8、温度37°C条件下,一单位每分钟可将1.0 μmol的 D-β-羟基丁酸氧化成乙酰乙酸盐。
